On the eastern end it’s defined by small Tudors and bungalows near Colfax and then ranches, neo-eclectic and contemporary mansions near 6th. The western end has the same basic dynamic with knots of cookie-cutter condos and a high-rise apartment bordering the park, then colonial-style townhomes, duplexes and ranch-style apartments hugging the Mayfair Plaza shopping area.

For more high-end shopping, the boutique and salon mecca of Cherry Creek is no more than a ten minute car ride down 6th. A jewel in the center of the neighborhood, Mayfair Park is a wonderful, dog-friendly spot of green with a large playground and a half basketball court. Colfax and 6th are major thoroughfares leading to I-25, while a few blocks to the east Quebec Street leads to I-70.

There is a decent amount of new single family construction happening in the south, closer to 6th. Neo-eclectic and contemporary mansions are popping up all around the ranches and small Tudors currently defining the southern part of the neighborhood. Although there are often one or two projects on most blocks, it all seems to be single-family construction with no new apartments, condos or townhomes projected for the future.
