Denver Country Club Homes For Sale
Country Club real estate is a jewel in the crown of city living. Just south-east of downtown and bordered on the west by Downing Street, the east by University Boulevard, the south by Alameda Avenue and the north by 6th Avenue, Denver Country Club homes for sale have the amenities, location and architecture to make it one of the most sought-after areas in the city. Running the architectural slide-rule from bungalow-duplexes to Tudor mega-mansions, Country Club is more integrated than the Polo Club neighborhood and more traditional than the contemporary/postmodern Cherry Creek. With bungalows, Denver squares and older Victorians skirting the perimeter and then huge Tudor, neo-eclectic and colonial mansions surrounding the centerpiece country club, this neighborhood walks the line between exclusive and integrated more than any other neighborhood in the city. Predominantly single-family mansions at heart, there are also a fair amount of duplexes hugging 6th in the north and Alameda in the south. Aesthetically the streets have an older, distinguished feel with mature trees forming an overhead canopy. Wide streets, well maintained sidewalks and houses set back from the curb make for a pedestrian-friendly area that’s perfect for an early-evening stroll. Denver Country Club homes for sale are listed with the zip codes 80218 and 80206.
Adjacent to Capitol Hill, Cherry Creek, Washington Park and Polo Club, the Country Club neighborhood has integrated aspects of all four areas. With the ultra-exclusive Denver Country Club at its core, the 165-acre Wash Park to the south and Cheesman/Congress Parks to the north, this neighborhood has access to two crushed granite jogging paths, 54 flamboyant flower beds, a kids’ fishing pond, basketball court, golf course, outdoor swimming pool, sixteen tennis courts, three playgrounds, two softball fields, soccer fields and a paved bike path. With all that green it's amazing there's space for the abundance of retail in and around the Country Club neighborhood.
Taking cues from both Capitol Hill and Wash Park, pockets of retail hotspots grace Downing, 6th, University and Alameda including the pedal-friendly Handle Bar and Grill, The Wag Shop doggy boutique and a centrally located Safeway grocery. Also, there's no point in Country Club that's more than a bike ride away from the Cherry Creek Shopping Center or historic South Gaylord Street in Wash Park. Additionally, 6th and Alameda are major thoroughfares leading to I-25.The only construction happening in the Country Club real estate market is around the perimeter. The mega-mansion core is spreading outward, with single-family mansions popping up around the older bungalows, Victorians and Denver squares. While there’s a decent amount of construction it all seems to be single-family with no new retail, commercial or mixed use. Show Less...
